ASHA Samvad is an innovation of the National Health Mission (NHM), Government of Madhya Pradesh, a weekly YouTube platform designed to directly connect with around 79000 ASHA workers across the state, strengthen their knowledge, and spotlight their contributions to maternal and child health and nutrition. By keeping ASHAs informed, connected, and empowered, ASHA Samvad plays a vital role in strengthening community outreach, service delivery, and health outcomes across the state.

ASHA Samvad is a digital communication and capacity-building initiative of the National Health Mission (NHM), Government of Madhya Pradesh, designed for ASHA (Accredited Social Health Activist) workers across the state.

ASHA Samvad serves as a statewide learning and engagement platform that enables continuous knowledge enhancement, experience sharing, and two-way communication with ASHA workers. The initiative leverages digital media and video-based content to ensure timely dissemination of health information in an accessible and user-friendly manner

It is twenty minutes video including four parts such as messaging from Officials, Content part, showcase work of ASHA from the field and Q and A session. The messaging of each theme covers mainly from by Government officials and partners as per the requirement.

The objectives are to strengthen the knowledge and skills of ASHA workers, promote continuous learning and capacity building, facilitate effective communication between the health system and frontline worker and share best practices, success stories, and field experiences. It provides update knowledge on health and nutrition of diverse themes and priority of the State by which they can priority their work in the field level.

Key Features included digital learning modules and video episodes, content delivered in simple and locally relevant language, coverage of priority health areas, including maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health, communicable and non-communicable diseases, menstrual hygiene and nutrition, legal and programmatic awareness (e.g., PCPNDT Act) interactive and feedback-oriented approach, palliative care etc.

ASHA Samvad is implemented by ASHA Cell under National Health Mission, Madhya Pradesh, with technical support from development partners, contributing to the strengthening of community health systems. UNFPA, The Antara Foundation, UNICEF and canKids organization supported in ASHA Samvad in providing content, messaging, stories and Q and A in selected topics.

There are so many topics covered during six months such as Breastfeeding, Anamia, KMC, HRPW, mental health, SUMAN chatbot, hand washing, IDSP, HBPNC, pre-term baby, Menstruation hygiene, hand washing, Ayushman Bharat, PCPNDT, immunization, nutrition, BPCR and Birth Witing Room, WASH, VHSND, family planning, HPV vaccination, palliative care,  childhood cancer etc. Apart from that it also focused on record keeping by ASHAs through ASHA Diary which is topmost priority of the ASHAs for timely quality of services and incentives. 

By keeping ASHA workers informed, connected, and empowered, ASHA Samvad plays a vital role in improving community outreach, service delivery, and health outcomes across Madhya Pradesh. ASHA Samvad helps ASHA workers stay updated, confident, and connected, enabling them to deliver better community-level health services and improve health outcomes across Madhya Pradesh. ASHAs also initiated in showing to not only beneficiaries during HBPNC visit, VHND and home visit but also engaging male members during discussion. ASHAs took help from their family members of ASHA Supervisors to subscribe and give feedback on content if they have any doubt. 

ASHA Samvad has crossed 35.5K subscribers. As of 17th April 2026 (11:05 AM), the total viewership of all 32 episodes has reached an impressive 10,00,826 views.
