कोरोना मुक्त गांव और कोरोना मुक्त भारत अभियान का ख्याल मेरे मन में अप्रैल में आया था। उन्हीं दिनों यह समाचार मिलने शुरु हुए थे कि दूसरी लहर में कोरोना गांवों की तरफ भी रुख कर रहा है। पैथोलॉजी मेरी पी एच डी का विषय रहा है। मैं गांव में पला बढ़ा हूं और पिछले तीन दशक से मेरा गुजरात, उत्तर प्रदेश, मध्य प्रदेश और तेलंगाना में ग्राम विकास के रचनात्मक कार्यों से आत्मीय जुड़ाव रहा है, इसलिए मुझे महसूस हुआ कि कोरोना महामारी से गांवों को बचाने के लिए हमें काफी काम करने की जरूरत है
